Job summary

Texas Health Mansfield is hiring for a Full-time Night Shift Environmental Services role in Mansfield, TX. You will clean patient and public areas, stock supplies, and follow infection control procedures to maintain a safe healthcare environment.

Responsibilities include using Bed Management tracking, operating cleaning equipment, and handling waste. Strong English communication and basic computer skills are required; healthcare housekeeping experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of commonly‑used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Ability to maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Able to communicate in English.
  • Basic computer skills and use of mouse and keyboard.
  • Must be able to operate a computer using standard office software.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to interact with patients.
  • Must read and understand Safety Data Sheets, product labels, reports, and basic arithmetic.
  • Follow oral and written assignments and basic environmental duties.
  • Healthcare environmental services experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of additional languages preferred.

  • Stocks paper items, cleaning solutions and supplies as needed.
  • Demonstrates infection control, isolation procedures, and proper cleaning equipment use.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Uses Bed Management system and handheld tech to track bed flow.
  • Operates cleaning/trash carts and janitorial supplies.
  • Collects and stages soiled linen for pickup.
  • Disposes of normal and biohazardous waste.
  • Cleans/disinfects areas with bodily fluids per facility standards.
  • Documents all work performed.
  • Accesses ancillary units, restrooms, offices in assigned areas.

Job Description:

***NIGHT SHIFT***

Cleans assigned patient and public areas daily, including collecting and removing trash and sanitizing all surfaces. Stocks paper items, cleaning solutions and other supplies in assigned areas as necessary or designated. Demonstrates complete knowledge of infection control, isolation procedures, and proper operation of cleaning equipment. Other duties as assigned. Utilizes Bed Management system to maintain productive flow of bed through put, using hand-held technology for tracking. Utilizes equipment that includes cleaning/trash cart, and other janitorial supplies. Collects and stages soiled linen for pick up. Disposes of normal and biohazardous waste. Cleans and disinfects areas containing bodily fluids in accordance with facility standards. Documents all work performed. Accesses ancillary units, restrooms, offices in assigned areas.
