Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced permitting professional to lead oil & gas midstream projects and energy transition initiatives across the US. The role emphasizes strong regulatory coordination, client relationship management, and proactive proposal support.

You will oversee permit applications, NEPA processes, and species/resource coordination while coordinating with HSE standards in a dynamic, nationwide team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar permitting role.
• Proven experience preparing and managing FERC permit applications.
• Direct experience with Threatened and Endangered Species, Sections 404/10, CZMA, and Section 106.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication and client relationship skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project management for oil & gas midstream permitting projects and energy transition projects across the US.
• Manage permit applications and agency coordination related to Threatened and Endangered Species, Sections 404/10, CZMA, and Section 106.
• Develop and maintain client relationships, identify opportunities for new work, and support proposals.
• Create technical documents and review materials supporting regulatory submissions.
• Support and ensure implementation of HSE policies and guidelines in project execution.
• Collaborate with other Environmental and Regulatory Specialists for consistent project delivery.
• This role is part of a larger midstream & energy permitting team with opportunities across multiple projects and offices.
