Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist to join our Environmental Remediation group in Denver, CO. The candidate will handle environmental site assessments, remedial and solid waste design, and support multi-disciplinary projects, with travel and field duties as needed.

The role requires a strong communicator, regulatory awareness, and the ability to work with engineers and scientists under supervision, including growth opportunities and relocation not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in environmental sciences or engineering or related field and eight (8) years of relevant experience or equivalency.
• Valid driver's license.
• Pre-employment background check required.
• Pre-employment substance abuse test required.
• US Citizenship or permanent resident required.

Responsibilities

• Performs standard scientific work applying techniques and procedures.
• Detects problems when using standardized procedures due to samples or equipment.
• Conducts specific phases of projects for more experienced scientists.
• Proposes analytical methods and techniques; assists in providing advice.
• Draws conclusions and makes recommendations based on analysis.
• Interprets and records data; ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Works under general supervision.
• Flexible with extended hours and travel; travel may exceed 50% of time.
• Must be able to do day travel regionally.
