Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. invites an experienced Environmental Remediation Project Manager – Geologist or Engineer to join its Portland, Oregon office.

The role targets a geologist, hydrogeologist, or engineer with consulting leadership in contaminated site assessment and remediation, including VI/RI-FS, groundwater monitoring, and field sampling. The position emphasizes project ownership, client service, and technical strategy, with opportunities for field work, mentoring staff, and growth

Qualifications

• 7+ years of direct environmental consulting experience in the Pacific Northwest, 8+ years preferred.
• Strong understanding of Pacific Northwest state and federal environmental regulations.
• Experience coordinating projects: scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, oversight.
• Experience with RI/FS, groundwater monitoring, multi‑media sampling, data analysis.
• Strong technical writing for work plans, RI/FS documents, monitoring reports, memos.
• Ability to mentor early‑career staff and coordinate field teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and schedule adherence.
• Evaluate contaminated sites and design remediation approaches for RI/FS, removal actions, and remedy implementation.
• Lead proposal and work‑plan development, data evaluation, CSM updates, and cost analyses.
• Manage remedial pilot tests and systems, including soil vapor extraction and groundwater monitoring.
• Write and review technical reports, plans, specs, and client deliverables.
• Build client relationships and contribute to business development and project growth.
• Mentor staff on technical tasks, client expectations, and career development.
• May include fieldwork such as site visits, sampling, drilling oversight, and vendor coordination.
• Drive company vehicles to sites as needed.
