Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manager of Environmental Engineering 3 at our Bethpage, NY site to lead onsite remediation projects and direct the project team. The role requires deep experience in environmental remediation and project management, with oversight of schedules, budgets, and regulatory compliance.

The position emphasizes leadership, stakeholder collaboration, and ensuring project success through technical planning, coaching staff, and sustainable remediation practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or relevant science field.
• 15+ years of experience in environmental remediation, or 13+ years with a Master’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Oversee execution of project strategies, forecasts, budgets, plans, and goals.
• Direct and guide technical planning and implementation of remedial activities to ensure project success.
• Review/approve/monitor project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Compile project status and financial data for management reviews.
• Provide QA/QC on agency deliverables from project team members and contractors.
• Oversee contractor bidding, selection and contract award process.
• Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety requirements (RCRA, CERCLA, OSHA).
• Manage a staff of remediation engineers.
