We have an immediate opportunity to join the Corporate Environmental Remediation Team as the Manager of Environmental Engineering 3 at our Bethpage, New York location. The incumbent will serve as a member of the environmental remediation team with direct responsibility for the success of onsite remediation projects and the performance of the remediation project team under his/her direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee execution of project strategies, forecasts, budgets, plans, and goals.
• Direct and guide technical planning and implementation of remedial activities to ensure project success.
• Review/approve/monitor project‑specific scope, schedule, and budget.
• Compile project status and financial data for management reviews.
• Participate in quarterly financial and performance reviews.
• Provide QA/QC on agency deliverables from project team members and contractors.
• Oversee contractor bidding, selection and contract award process.
• Ensure compliance with applicable environmental health and safety requirements (e.g., RCRA, CERCLA, OSHA).
• Oversee purchase requisition and invoice review and approval processes.
• Perform routine program troubleshooting functions.
• Implement sustainable remediation practices where applicable.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on project status and milestones.
• Achieve a mutually agreeable resolution with multiple stakeholders with various interest and drivers.
• Manage a staff of remediation engineers.
• Assess project issues and develop solutions.
• Provide coaching and mentoring staff and sustain engagement.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 15+ years of experience in environmental remediation, or Master’s Degree and 13+ years of experience in environmental remediation.
• At least a BS degree from an accredited institution with a focus in an engineering or relevant science field.
• Proven environmental remediation expertise and application.
• Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in field operations and remedial construction.
• Takes ownership and is accountable with an “owner” mindset.
• Proven ability to build relationships and work effectively with local, state and federal regulatory staff and leadership.
• Demonstrates resiliency and is an effective leader amidst change.
• Acts with speed meeting internal and external customer requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills, an exceptional self‑starter attitude, and the ability to produce in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
• Strong business/financial acumen, keen organizational skills, and excellent problem‑solving ability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) accreditation.
• Familiarity with New York State Environmental Regulations.
• Experience working with NYSDEC (New York State Department of Environmental Conservation) and NYSDOH (New York State Department of Health).
• Experience working with US EPA Region 2.

Primary Level Salary Range: $159,500.00 - $239,300.00.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long‑Term Incentives.
