Job summary

Newport News Nuclear BWXT Los Alamos LLC seeks an Operations Manager to lead high-hazard facilities in Los Alamos, NM. You will direct safe, compliant operations across remediation, D&D, waste, and maintenance activities while coordinating across Engineering, ESH&Q, and senior leadership.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in science or engineering and 10+ years, including 5+ years supervising technical staff, with strong leadership and communication abilities for executive briefings and

Qualifications

Experience directing complex high-hazard programs and facilities.
Strong knowledge of safety, security, and environmental regulations and safety bases.
Ability to perform root cause analysis and lessons-learned.
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and budgets.
Excellent written and oral communication with executives.

Responsibilities

Direct safe, compliant operations in high-hazard projects and facilities.
Ensure full compliance with DOE, federal/state and company standards.
Lead multidisciplinary teams and manage budgets and resources.
Coordinate with executives, regulators, and external stakeholders.
Oversee characterization, remediation, D&D, waste management, and maintenance planning.
Support ISMS implementation and safety program coordination.
