Job summary

N3B Los Alamos, LLC is seeking a senior Facility Operations Director to lead safe, compliant and efficient operations at TA-54, with direct oversight of the TA-54 Operations Center, Shift Managers, and Nuclear Operators.

The role focuses on managing waste operations support, characterization, remediation, and repackaging activities for TRU and M/LLW, ensuring regulatory alignment and continuous improvement across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 14 years of related experience.
• Minimum 6 years of management responsibility.
• Experience with government regulations affecting operations and packaging/transport.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for reports/presentations.

Responsibilities

• Reviews operational performance from a regulatory/safety standpoint and reports issues/recommendations.
• Provides feedback and implements corrective actions to minimize operational risk.
• Executes facility and operations solutions related to safety, regulatory issues, and maintenance.
• Advises management on status of work, risks, and process improvements for safe nuclear operations.
• Coordinates interdepartmental activity across operations, project management, QA, engineering, and maintenance.
