Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Lead to guide environmental remediation projects across Illinois and the Midwest from our Chicago office.

The role requires deep knowledge of Illinois EPA SRP and TACO, and you will oversee regulatory deliverables, mentor staff, and support business development while coordinating a multidisciplinary team.

You will partner with clients and regulators, drive project scopes, schedules, QA/QC, and help develop technical approaches and proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science with 10 years in environmental remediation.
• 2 years of leadership experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and education.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical investigations for soil, groundwater, sediment, and vapor sites.
• Prepare and review reports under Illinois EPA SRP and TACO (35 Ill. Adm. Code 742).
• Mentor junior staff and lead discussions with clients and regulators.
• Support proposals, budgets, schedules, and technical approaches.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams of engineers, geologists, hydrogeologists, scientists, and subcontractors.
