Job summary

Leidos seeks a Senior Remediation Engineer to lead a portfolio of federal environmental projects, guiding CERCLA and RCRA investigations, RI/FS, RD/RA, and long-term monitoring while ensuring regulatory compliance. The role interfaces with Leidos leadership, PMs, senior staff, clients, and agencies, with opportunities for remote work within the United States or onsite in Reston, VA or Twinsburg, OH.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering or related engineering discipline; 12+ years environmental experience or a Master's with 10+ years.
PE license required.
Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations (CERCLA and RCRA).
Experience evaluating, designing, or implementing remedial technologies and systems.

Responsibilities

Define project requirements and lead multidisciplinary project teams.
Direct and support development of PMPs, QAPPs, HASPs, RI/FS reports and cost estimates, PP, RODs, and RD/RAWPs.
Develop exit strategies for complex technical/regulatory challenges.
Support proposal development with technical solutions and cost bases of estimate.
Mentor and develop junior engineering staff in remediation system design and operation.
Ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and health and safety requirements.
Prepare and present technical findings to clients, agencies, stakeholders, and the public.
Travel to project locations for meetings and site visits.
