Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Remediation Engineer to support environmental investigation, remediation, and restoration projects under CERCLA and RCRA. The role includes design, regulatory documentation, field implementation, and cross-functional coordination with clients and agencies.

The successful candidate will execute defined tasks independently while collaborating with engineers, scientists, and project teams. Remote US-based work is allowed, or onsite in Reston, VA or Twinsburg, OH.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering or related field required.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with progress towards PE.
Experience with CERCLA/RCRA projects and remedial technologies.

Responsibilities

Support development of project plans and technical deliverables (PMPs, QAPPs, HASPs, RI/FS, RODs).
Assist in pilot and treatability studies for remedial technologies.
Design remediation approaches including groundwater extraction, in-situ treatment, and soil vapor extraction.
Prepare drawings, calculations, and cost estimates for remedial design and implementation.
Support preparation of technical/cost proposals and base of estimate.
Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors to support project execution.
Work in accordance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements.
Travel to project locations to support field activities and client meetings.
