Job summary

Leidos LLC seeks a Remediation Engineer to support environmental investigation, remediation, and restoration under CERCLA and RCRA. The role covers technical design, regulatory documentation, field implementation, and client/regulator coordination across the remedial lifecycle.

You will independently execute defined tasks while collaborating with engineers, scientists, project managers, and other specialists. Strong writing and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering or related field with 4+ years of experience, or a Master's with 2+ years.
• PE license or EIT with progress toward PE licensure.
• Experience with CERCLA and RCRA regulatory frameworks and remedial technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans and technical deliverables (PMPs, QAPPs, HASPs, RI/FS, PP, RODs, design packages).
• Design, implement, evaluate, and report pilot and treatability studies for remedial tech.
• Evaluate remediation approaches (groundwater treatment, ISCO/IOR, bioremediation, soil vapor extraction, air sparging).
• Prepare drawings, design specs, calculations, technical evaluations, and cost estimates.
• Support technical and cost proposals, subcontractor scopes, and bases of estimate.
• Coordinate with clients, regulators, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Perform work following Leidos and client environmental, QA, and safety requirements.
