True Environmental's Matrix New World Engineering in NYC seeks an experienced Project Manager / Environmental Engineer. Prioritize candidates with a PE license, who will lead complex environmental consulting and engineering projects in the NYC metro area.

You will oversee Phase I/II ESAs, RAWPs, QA/QC, and mentor staff, with emphasis on client-facing leadership and regulatory coordination with NYSDEC, NYCDEP, and OER. This role offers autonomy and growth toward leadership.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Environmental/Civil Engineering, with env concentration or Geology.
• 8–10+ years of progressive environmental engineering and consulting experience.
• Experience leading Phase I ESAs and Phase II Site Investigations.
• Knowledge of NYSDEC/NYSDOH rules and NYC environmental procedures.
• HAZWOPER certification and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end site investigation and remediation projects in NYC.
• Direct field programs and oversee subcontractors during drilling and sampling.
• Manage budgets, timelines, and project profitability.
• Mentor junior engineers and scientists.
• Serve as technical point of contact in client meetings.
• Contribute to regulatory relationships with NYSDEC/ NYCDEP/OER.
