Position Overview
Permanent position for an Environmental Engineer with a NY PE License to oversee transit construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, sample and report on air, soil and water quality.
- Hazardous and universal waste management.
- Oversee contaminated soil management, spill prevention, and stormwater management.
- Meet State and Federal regulations, including soil, groundwater, and air contaminant identification.
- Take qualitative and quantitative measurements, and implement of remedial technologies.
Qualifications
- BS Environmental or Civil Engineering.
- PE License in New York is required.
- Minimum 10 years experience with air, soil, and water monitoring, sampling, and reporting.
- Experience with waste management.
- Minimum 2 years experience working on transportation construction projects.
- Knowledge of contaminated soil management, spill prevention, stormwater management, and hazardous waste management.
- Knowledge of asbestos abatement procedures.
- Knowledge of NYSDEC regulations.
