Job summary

Apex Clearing Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our New England Environmental Team. This role can be located at our Glastonbury, CT office or our Quincy or Woburn, MA offices.

You will manage a diverse portfolio of environmental projects, drive profitability, and develop new work while mentoring staff. Strong writing, communication, and leadership skills are essential, with MS Office proficiency and familiarity with CRM reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science/Engineering or related field.
• Masters degree preferred.
• 15+ years of related environmental experience.
• LEP, LSP or pathway to obtain professional license.
• Ability to mentor and train staff.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent safety record and understanding of safe work practices.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Familiarity with CRM reporting.
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of environmental projects including due diligence activities, site investigation, MassDEP, CTDEEP regulatory projects, and/or federal compliance projects.
• Manage cumulative project total of at least $750K annually and achieve profitability goals.
• Develop $500K in new project work annually.
• Write and review technical reports and proposals.
• Actively source for new business opportunities.
• Mentor and train scientific staff and ensure quality work.
• Ensure safe performance of project work.
• Prepare and deliver marketing presentations.
• Hire and manage subcontractors.
