Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC. is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our New England Environmental Team. This role can be located in Glastonbury, CT or Quincy/Woburn, MA offices, leading diverse environmental projects and driving business growth.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years of environmental experience, strong technical writing, and the ability to mentor staff. The position offers a competitive pay range and annual bonus opportunities in a national firm with 70+ locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science/Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 15+ years of related solid environmental experience.
• LEP, LSP or pathway to obtain professional license.
• Ability to mentor and train staff.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Excellent technical writing and technical communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license, good driving history and reliable transportation.
• Business development acumen
• Familiarity with CRM reporting.
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage diverse environmental projects, including due diligence and site investigations.
• Oversee regulatory projects and federal compliance.
• Grow annual project revenue and profitability targets.
• Write and review technical reports and proposals.
• Source new business opportunities.
• Mentor and train scientific staff.
• Ensure safety of project work.
• Deliver marketing presentations.
• Hire and manage subcontractors.
