Job summary

Apex Companies seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our New England Environmental Team. You may be based in Glastonbury, CT or Quincy/Woburn, MA, overseeing a portfolio of environmental projects with a focus on profitability and growth.

You will mentor staff, prepare reports, and drive business development while ensuring safety and compliance on diverse projects. A strong background in environmental science/engineering and a track record of leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Environmental Science/Engineering or related field required.
• Masters degree preferred.
• 15+ years of strong environmental technical experience.
• LEP, LSP or license pathway in progress.
• Ability to mentor and train staff.
• Proficient with MS Office suite.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Business development acumen.
• Familiarity with CRM reporting.
• Deltek Vantagepoint experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of environmental projects including due diligence and regulatory work.
• Manage cumulative project total of at least $750K annually and profitability goals.
• Develop $500K in new project work annually.
• Write and review technical reports and proposals.
• Source for new business opportunities.
• Mentor and train scientific staff and ensure quality work product.
• Ensure safe performance of project work.
• Prepare and deliver marketing presentations.
• Hire and manage subcontractors.
