Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our New England Environmental Team. The role can be based in Glastonbury, CT or Quincy/Woburn, MA offices, handling diverse environmental projects.

You will oversee profitability, develop new work, mentor staff, and contribute to client engagement and technical reporting. A strong background in environmental science/engineering is required, with leadership experience and CRM familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science/Engineering or related field.
• Masters degree preferred.
• 15+ years of related environmental experience.
• LEP/LSP or license path in progress.
• Mentor and train staff; strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite; strong writing.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of environmental projects (due diligence, site investigation, regulatory work).
• Maintain annual project profitability of at least $750K and develop $500K in new work each year.
• Write and review technical reports and proposals; hire and manage subcontractors.
• Actively source new business opportunities and deliver marketing presentations.
• Mentor scientific staff and ensure quality work; enforce safe work practices.
