Job summary

RECON seeks a Project Manager to oversee earthwork, cap closure, and environmental remediation construction across the Eastern United States. You will lead field crews, manage safety programs, and ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.

The role involves frequent travel with initial on-site work in Carteret, New Jersey, collaborating with clients and internal teams to deliver safe, high-quality results.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in earthwork/construction with remediation emphasis.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field; mining/remediation experience accepted.
• Proven leadership with budget control and meeting targets.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient MS Office suite.
• Experience with MS Project or Primavera P6 and estimating tools preferred.
• Willingness to travel and work on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of project execution from planning to closeout.
• Lead field crews and enforce safety programs across sites.
• Direct project control, cost management, procurement, and change orders.
• Ensure progress reporting and KPI dashboards reflect reality.
• Develop forecasts and status reports with schedule and budget.
• Foster client relationships and drive repeat business.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance coaching.
• Prepare and track invoices per contract terms.
• Develop cost estimates from contracts, bids, and specs.
