LJA Environmental seeks a Project Director to lead business development across multiple states, oversee a team of senior project managers, and ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and budget. The role requires deep regulatory knowledge, client liaison skills, and strategic planning to drive growth.

The position emphasizes leadership, SOP development, and financial oversight, with opportunities to mentor staff and shape project outcomes for diverse clients in the environmental sector.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of CWA, ESA, ASTM, and NEPA processes, including permitting and mitigation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build strong relationships.
• 15+ years of experience in related fields.

Responsibilities

• Oversee business development within the market area and lead a team of project professionals.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and report formats; review technical reports.
• Serve as primary client liaison, manage client relationships, negotiations, and issue resolution.
• Drive proposals, budgeting, marketing events, and growth with clients.
• Ensure financial performance including profitability and budgeting in collaboration with leadership.
• Lead and mentor staff, including performance reviews and training.
