Job summary

Pepco in Washington, DC area seeks a Senior Environmental Program Manager to lead the environmental program across operations, ensuring cost-effective compliance with environmental laws.

This role oversees remediation projects, budget, procurement plans and regulatory coordination with federal, state, and local agencies. You will mentor a team of environmental professionals and collaborate with Operations and Legal to advance safety and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or science or related field.
• 7-10 years of environmental program and project experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state and local regulatory issues.
• Experience negotiating with outside agencies.

Responsibilities

• Develop & direct complex MGP/superfund remediation program including budget and schedule.
• Ensure EMS performance and manage permits, waste handling, spill prevention and recycling.
• Manage department budget and develop programs to improve efficiency and impact.
• Lead, coach and develop the Compliance and MGP/Remediation team.
• Coordinate with regulators and internal stakeholders to drive initiatives.
