You will lead environmental engineering and consulting projects across disciplines, mentor staff, and drive client development for national and international clients. The role requires strong leadership, extensive field experience, and the ability to manage complex projects, regulatory compliance, and risk.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years (10+ preferred) of direct environmental consulting experience (Carolina market preferred).
• Strong business development track record with client relationships and proposals leadership.
• Familiarity with NCDEQ guidance and risk evaluation resources.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary field investigations (soil, groundwater, vapor intrusion).
• Experience with compliance and due diligence projects and remedial strategies.
• Excellent writing and communication skills; able to present at conferences.
• Willingness to travel to client facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations, remediation planning, budgeting, and schedule adherence with focus on quality and profitability.
• Drive business development and lead proposal efforts for projects.
• Develop site-specific mitigation, remediation, and closure strategies for complex sites.
• Maintain client contacts and participate in professional organizations and events.
• Supervise and mentor junior professionals and manage subcontractors.
• Oversee reports and client deliverables under state and federal guidance.
• Prepare for meetings with clients, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Review regulations and advise clients on compliance strategies.
• Coordinate fieldwork including site visits and environmental sampling.
• Manage project delivery including planning, controls, and risk management.
