Job summary
Rincon Consultants seeks a Supervising Senior Environmental Planning Manager to grow our environmental and long-range planning practice in Southern California. You will lead CEQA projects, guide multidisciplinary teams, and mentor staff while strengthening client relationships.
This senior role blends business development with technical leadership, overseeing contracts, staffing, and strategic opportunities in the LA/SD markets. Hybrid work options available near Los Angeles or San Diego.
Qualifications
- CEQA leadership and complex environmental review experience.
- 12+ years in environmental planning/consulting.
- Degree in Environmental Planning or related field.
- Strong client management skills in LA or SD markets.
- Experience supervising and developing staff.
Responsibilities
- Oversee large, complex environmental planning contracts (scope, schedule, budget, staffing, quality).
- Lead CEQA compliance and planning efforts from strategy through approval.
- Manage high-profile client relationships and provide strategic guidance on CEQA and land use.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and provide QA/QC for deliverables.
- Coordinate with public agencies and participate in meetings and stakeholder engagement.
