Senior Environmental Planner & Project Manager

ICF is seeking a Senior Environmental Planner and Project Manager to join our Southern California based planning transportation team. Our energy, ports, transportation and infrastructure business is growing rapidly, and we are seeking a senior leader to support this growth. We lead environmental compliance efforts for complex and often controversial projects nationwide for private and public sector clients. In this role, you will be a senior leader within the Southern California region, responsible for:

1. Managing federal, state, and local permitting and compliance for transmission projects and other projects in accordance with CEQA, NEPA, and other regulations.
2. Serving as a primary point of contact with local, state, and federal government clients.
3. Coordinating multidisciplinary teams conducting research, preparing technical documents/deliverables, and interfacing with external clients.

What You Must Have

• Bachelor's Degree in environmental science or related fields.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.

Additional Skills & Experience

• Experience preparing CEQA and NEPA documents for federal, state, and local agencies, or managing high-quality CEQA documents for private clients.
• Experience working with Caltrans.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to thrive in team settings.
• Advanced knowledge of environmental planning and related fields.
• Strong project coordination skills, including taking and giving direction, organization, and time management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience obtaining environmental permits and reviewing technical studies related to biological, cultural resources, air quality, noise, traffic, and hydrology.
• Several years of task management experience in a private consulting firm; experience as a project coordinator or deputy project manager is a plus.
• Business development experience and willingness to engage in it.

Pay Range

The full-time pay range for this position is $107,469 - $182,697, based on factors including experience, skills, certifications, location, and education. The position is based in Los Angeles, CA (CA80).
