Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in the United States seeks an Environmental Planner Project Manager or Deputy PM with NEPA experience to lead complex projects on Federally‑owned lands. You will oversee schedule, budget, client communications, and multidisciplinary teams.

You will mentor junior staff, review environmental impact documentation, and coordinate between office and field teams while ensuring quality and regulatory compliance across time zones.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related work experience as a project manager with NEPA experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, biology, geology, chemistry, urban planning or related field.
• Strong technical writing, analytical and oral communication skills.
• Good organizational skills, multi‑tasking, attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to manage time across deadlines and time zones, and handle shifting priorities.
• Ability to obtain background clearance for access to military installations and controlled facilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Environmental Planner Project Manager or Deputy PM for NEPA projects on Federally‑owned lands with schedule and budget management.
• Lead technical writing and review of environmental impact documents and mitigation plans per NEPA, including EAs and EISs.
• Mentor junior environmental planners as SME in regulatory processes and client interactions.
• Manage the project team, subconsultants, contracts, deliverables, and administrative records.
• Report to the Solana Beach, CA office but eligible for remote hybrid work arrangement.
