Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Environmental Planner for our Plymouth, MN office. The role leads multidisciplinary teams to deliver technically compliant state and federal environmental reviews for diverse client projects, including MEPA/NEPA processes and associated documentation.

You'll coordinate with state and federal agencies, manage multiple projects, mentor junior staff, and support business development while upholding QA/QC and health and safety requirements across project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Planning or related field; 5+ years in MN/NEPA/environmental review.
• Experience managing MEPA/NEPA projects and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to travel regionally and occasionally overnight.
• Experience with QA/QC and Health & Safety in project life cycles.

Responsibilities

• Manage MEPA/NEPA projects and reviews for client actions.
• Coordinate state and federal agencies; organize studies and documents.
• Lead multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Define project objectives, scope, budget, and teams.
• Ensure QA/QC and H&S throughout the project life cycle.
• Support business development and proposals.
• Mentor early career team members.
• Develop client and regulator relationships.
