Job summary

Volkert Inc. in Alabama is seeking an experienced Environmental and NEPA Manager to support our Gulf Shores team. The role requires at least 5 years' experience in transportation/NEPA planning, with responsibilities to prepare CE/EA/EIS, coordinate with project teams, and lead public involvement.

The position offers opportunities to manage projects within budget and schedule, contribute to business development, and work within Volkert's ESOP-owned culture and nationwide offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Planning, Environmental Science, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in transportation/NEPA planning.
• GIS experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory MVR.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Prepare NEPA studies for federally funded projects (CE/EA/EIS).
• Coordinate with internal project teams.
• Perform site visits for projects as required.
• Lead public involvement efforts for environmental projects.
• Manage projects to meet budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
• Assist in business development for environmental projects.
