Job summary

SOCOTEC is seeking a Senior-Level Environmental Manager in Mechanicsburg, PA to lead the Environmental Department and guide projects from inception to completion. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, remediation planning, and staff mentorship, with collaboration across clients and corporate teams.

The ideal candidate has a PE/PG/CHMM/QEP or equivalent, 10+ years of environmental engineering experience, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Environmental Engineering/oversight.
• Proven track record of delivering complex environmental projects.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
• Experience on PennDOT projects and other PA/MD/DE agencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage Environmental Department and staff.
• Lead environmental projects from inception to completion within scope, budget, schedule.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Conduct environmental assessments, investigations, site inspections, and feasibility studies.
• Develop and implement environmental management plans.
• Coordinate with Corporate Departments on workload and priorities.
• Provide mentorship to junior staff including Engineers, CAD Technicians, Designers.
• Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations.
• Support Environmental Department business development.
