Job summary

Socotec seeks a Senior Environmental Manager to lead the Environmental Department, oversee projects from inception to completion, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards across remediation, investigations, permitting, and site monitoring.

This in-office role requires strong leadership, client coordination, technical report writing, mentoring of junior staff, and the ability to develop proposals and win new work, including PennDOT projects in PA, MD, and DE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil (Environmental) Engineering or Environmental Science required; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of environmental engineering/oversight experience.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and standards.
• Proven ability to lead projects, manage staff, and deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Lead Environmental Department and staff oversight.
• Manage projects from inception to completion within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.
• Conduct environmental assessments, investigations, and feasibility studies.
• Develop and implement environmental management plans.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance.
• Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations.
• Collaborate with clients, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders.
• Stay current on regulations and industry trends.
• Assist in business development and proposal generation with clients.
