Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an Environmental Manager in California to oversee environmental compliance across locations. The role develops programs and permits to meet federal, state, and local regulations and partners with cross-functional teams to improve operations.

You will serve as a subject matter expert for air, water, and waste, manage permits, audits, and regulatory monitoring, and mentor the Environmental Engineer while coordinating training and emergency response plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of manufacturing, assembly, or R&D operations experience.
• Experience with local, state, and federal environmental regulators (air, water, waste).
• Experience with 40 CFR and 49 CFR regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication with leadership and regulators.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as environmental SME across California locations and western states.
• Manage permitting for air emissions, stormwater, wastewater, and hazardous waste.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify risks.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure proactive compliance.
• Prepare and submit reports to EPA, OC Sans, SMARTs, and CERs.
• Develop and lead environmental training programs.
• Lead the Environmental Engineer who reports to this position.
• Coordinate emergency response procedures, SPCC and SWPPP.
