Job summary

Air Products is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer in San Francisco to coordinate regulatory compliance across California facilities. You will lead programs for air, water, and waste, and develop tools to demonstrate compliance with permits and regulations.

The role requires 5–7 years in environmental regulatory compliance, with experience in CEMS and permit strategy. Travel to facilities may be required; strong Excel and SAP-based reporting are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science; environmental focus preferred.
• 5–7 years of regulatory environmental compliance experience.
• Experience with Bay Area air permit rules and permitting processes desirable.
• Experience with CEMS and environmental permitting strategies.
• Ability to train facility personnel on compliance requirements.
• Proficient with MS Office and regulatory systems for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve environmental programs across media to meet regulatory and permit requirements in CA (4 plants).
• Develop and improve compliance tools, monitoring, and testing to demonstrate regulatory compliance.
• Direct and train facility personnel on environmental compliance requirements and tools.
• Prepare waste profiles and manage disposal approvals and manifests.
• Submit environmental compliance reports to agencies and coordinate permit applications.
