Job summary

SLR Consulting (US) seeks a senior environmental advisor to expand remediation, investigation, and compliance offerings. This client‑facing role partners with our LQR team, leveraging a broad network across industrial, commercial, and regulatory stakeholders in Massachusetts.

You will lead proposals, scope work, and pricing strategies, balance project leadership with business development, and provide technical direction on complex environmental, geologic, or engineering projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geological/Environmental Engineering or Sciences.
• Massachusetts LSP required with PE, PG, LEP, LSRP a plus.
• Experience providing environmental consulting for site investigations and remediation.
• Knowledge of Environmental Site Assessments and MCP; multi-state exposure a plus.
• HAZWOPER training (40-hour) and 8-hour refreshers.

Responsibilities

• Bring, maintain and grow an active book of work across environmental investigation, remediation, compliance, and related consulting services.
• Leverage existing client relationships and expand new ones through networking, conferences, industry groups, and outreach.
• Lead proposal development, scopes of work, and pricing strategies.
• Function as a seller‑doer, balancing project leadership with business development.
• Identify strategic market opportunities and emerging service lines.
• Serve as Principal-in-Charge or senior technical lead on complex projects.
• Oversee data interpretation, modeling, and remedy strategies.
• Provide technical review of work plans and deliverables.
• Manage budgets, schedules, team allocation, and resource planning.
• Act as a trusted advisor to industrial, commercial, municipal, and legal-sector clients.
• Lead client meetings, technical discussions, and project strategy sessions.
• Provide direction and mentorship to junior and mid-level staff.
• Promote scientific excellence, responsiveness, and client service.
• Support recruiting and talent development for the practice.
