Job summary

Arcadis in the United States is seeking a Principal Engineer / Scientist to act as the Licensed Site Professional for Massachusetts projects and lead site investigation and remediation efforts. You will supervise multidisciplinary teams, interact with clients, and mentor junior staff while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds MA LSP certification, advanced degrees preferred, and 15+ years in environmental consulting with strong PM and BD skills. Based in New England offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology or related field.
• Active Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional certification.
• 15+ years of experience in environmental consulting, with direct Massachusetts market experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the LSP-of-record for ongoing Massachusetts Waste Sites for Arcadis clients.
• Lead investigation work plans, remedial designs, cost estimates, and other deliverables.
• Lead senior-level reviews of technical content and ensure quality.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams, scopes, schedules, budgets, and communications.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and scientists.
• Support business development through client meetings and proposals.
• Act as SME for regulatory interpretation, assessment and remediation.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology or related field of practice
