The ideal candidate holds a related bachelor's degree, 10+ years in loss control or EH&S, and strong regulatory knowledge, reporting and communication skills. Travel regionally/nationally; CSP/CHMM/CIH are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Safety, Chemistry, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in environmental loss control, risk consulting, or EH&S roles (insurance experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, hazardous materials management, pollution liability, and risk mitigation.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to prepare clear, concise technical reports and present findings.
• Professional certifications (CSP, CHMM, CIH, or similar) preferred.
• Willingness to travel for field inspections regionally or nationally.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental loss control surveys and site assessments for policyholders.
• Identify hazards, exposures, and regulatory issues; advise on risk mitigation.
• Prepare detailed reports with loss control recommendations after inspections.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and engineering teams on risk and pricing.
• Provide technical guidance on environmental risk management and compliance.
• Develop training materials on environmental topics for insureds.
• Stay updated on environmental regulations and standards.
