Job summary

WSP is seeking a Lead Consultant with 10+ years' experience to join our Earth & Environment Team and support Site Investigation & Remediation and Environmental Health and Safety Business Lines. Flexible working arrangements with offices in Portland, Tigard, OR and Vancouver, WA.

The role focuses on business development, project leadership, client communications, and delivering EH&S projects on time and within budget across the Pacific Northwest with occasional national travel.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years post-education experience.
• Minimum of 4 years business development experience; gov and/or private sector experience preferred.
• Staff management and leadership ability.
• Project management experience with deliverables, schedules, and budgets.
• Demonstrated expertise with environmental regulations and occupational safety.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new clients for WSP’s environmental business.
• Manage EH&S projects including site characterization, remediation, surveys, and compliance.
• Conduct data analysis and reporting for environmental tasks.
• Provide technical review for regulatory and contract compliance.
• Travel to project sites primarily within the Pacific Northwest with some national travel.
• Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders and internal teams.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate group assignments when needed.
• Direct technical assignments for SIR and EH&S groups.
• Oversee proposal preparation and client presentations.
• Prepare and review technical reports, proposals and cost estimates.
