WSP in Portland, Maine is seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant to lead projects, grow client relationships, and shape a sustainable future. This seller-doer role combines technical expertise, business development, and leadership in a vibrant coastal city.

You will manage multiple projects, provide technical leadership in environmental engineering/science, prepare reports and permit documents, mentor teams, and help clients navigate regulatory requirements while advancing sustainability.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, or a related field.
• Professional licensure or certification.
• 10+ years of environmental consulting experience.
• Proven success managing projects, developing clients, and winning work.
• Strong understanding of environmental regulations, including RCRA, CERCLA, and related compliance programs.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously with quality, budget, and schedule performance.
• Provide technical leadership in environmental engineering, environmental science, geology, or hydrogeology.
• Prepare and review technical reports, permitting documents, and environmental deliverables.
• Guide clients through local, state, and federal environmental permitting processes.
