DelDOT is seeking an Environmental Specialist to lead and manage historic and environmental surveys for transportation projects. You will research, conduct fieldwork, analyze data, and write technical reports while coordinating with environmental and engineering personnel to ensure compliance and effective project delivery.

Responsibilities include public outreach, regulatory coordination, and documentation under NHPA Section 106 and related regulations.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in related fields as required by position.
• Two years’ experience analyzing environmental and/or cultural impacts of projects.
• Two years’ experience in data analysis and technical report writing.
• Two years’ experience ensuring compliance with environmental laws and procedures.
• One year of environmental project management experience.

Responsabilidades

• Performs environmental specialist work in areas such as architecture/historic properties and archaeology sites.
• Guides engineering staff and agencies to incorporate environmental and sociocultural considerations into projects.
• Ensures compliance with water quality, air quality, noise, wetlands, and historic preservation regulations.
• Conducts field studies and analyzes data to recommend project alternatives.
• Prepares technical reports, permits, and memorandums of agreement.
• Coordinates with regulatory agencies to obtain permits and approvals.
• Meets with stakeholders to resolve compliance issues and advance projects.
• Develops plans and policies to protect and enhance the environment.
