Job summary

NewGround, headquartered in St. Louis, is seeking a Senior Environmental Graphic Designer to lead and deliver branded experiences from concept to production.

You will shape brand identities, exterior/interior signage, wayfinding, and exhibits while guiding junior staff and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. The role emphasizes design leadership, collaboration with clients, and delivering high-quality graphics aligned with project goals and standards.

Qualifications

• Four to eight years of professional experience as a Graphic Designer or Environmental Graphic Designer.
• Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Fine Arts or degree in Visual Communications, Graphic Design, or related discipline preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong knowledge of graphic design principles, environmental graphics, branding, production processes, media, and current design trends.
• Experience working with third-party printers, vendors, fabricators, and installers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and management of assigned graphic programs from concept through production.
• Develop innovative, original, and brand-relevant design content.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and support junior staff development.
• Ensure design solutions align with client objectives and NewGround standards.
• Coordinate with production teams, suppliers, and installers to ensure accurate execution.
• Travel up to 30% as needed to support client meetings, project needs, installations, and other business requirements.
