Job summary

NewGround, a leading design and delivery firm, seeks a Senior Environmental Graphic Designer to lead the development of branded experiences, translating ideas into environmental graphics that connect people, brand, and place. You will manage graphic programs from concept through production, including signage, wayfinding, and exhibits, while guiding junior staff.

Qualifications

• Four to eight years of professional experience as a Graphic Designer, Environmental Graphic Designer, or related role.
• Bachelor's degree in Visual Communications, Graphic Design, or related discipline preferred (BA/BA or BFA).
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat; ongoing Creative Suite development.
• Strong knowledge of graphic design principles, environmental graphics, branding, production processes, and trends.
• Experience with third-party printers, vendors, fabricators, installers; agency/architecture/design environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and management of assigned graphic programs from concept through production.
• Develop innovative, brand-relevant design content for environments and wayfinding.
• Participate in internal kickoff, reviews, and collaborative project meetings.
• Collaborate with the Design team on presentation content and project storytelling.
• Present concepts to internal teams, leadership, and clients.
• Obtain brand identity materials, historical assets, and resources from clients to support development.
• Coordinate with Creative Director, Branded Environments, PM, architects, interior designers, and other team members.
• Collaborate with production designers, vendors, printers, installers, and field staff to ensure accurate execution of design intent.
• Assist with project scoping, budgeting, resource allocation, scheduling, and balancing departmental needs.
• Support junior staff through guidance, collaboration, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
• Attend meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors as appropriate.
• Partner to advance departmental goals and improve processes; contribute to business development through storytelling and design expertise.
• Travel up to 30% as needed.
