Job summary

NewGround in St. Louis is seeking a Senior Environmental Graphic Designer to lead branded experiences, translating ideas into environmental graphics from concept through production.

You will develop brand identity, exterior and interior signage, wayfinding, and exhibits, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior staff.

The role involves client meetings, project storytelling, budgeting support, and travel up to 30% to support installations and site visits.

Qualifications

• BA/BFA in Visual Communications, Graphic Design, or related field preferred.
• Proficient with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat.
• Strong MS Office knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with production processes and third-party printers, vendors, fabricators and installers.
• Experience in a creative agency, architecture firm, multidisciplinary design environment, or in-house design team preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and management of graphic programs from concept through production.
• Develop innovative, original, and brand-relevant design content.
• Participate in project kickoffs, design reviews, and collaborative meetings.
• Collaborate with the Design team on presentation content and storytelling.
• Present concepts to internal teams, leadership, and clients as appropriate.
• Coordinate with project team members including Creative Director and cross-disciplinary staff.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely, cost-effective execution of design intent.
• Support junior staff through guidance and knowledge sharing.
• Attend meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors as appropriate.
• Contribute to business development through project storytelling and creative insights.
