SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Professional Geologist to lead environmental compliance across Hawthorne, CA. You will develop and implement robust programs, ensuring regulatory adherence during rapid manufacturing and major construction activities.

You will manage soil and waste programs, monitor air emissions, and coordinate with regulators and contractors to ensure safe, compliant operations at SpaceX facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and California Licensed Professional Geologist.
• 5+ years of experience in environmental and regulatory compliance in manufacturing or construction.
• Experience with DTSC, CUPA, EPA and other regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain environmental compliance programs related to construction and remediation at SpaceX's Hawthorne, CA site.
• Oversee day-to-day environmental site management for fast-paced manufacturing and high-impact construction projects.
• Own the Soil Management Plan (SMP) and coordinate changes with the DTSC.
• Monitor VOC emissions and air quality per EPA methods and local rules.
• Manage hazardous waste sampling, profiling, and disposal.
• Coordinate permitting, environmental testing, and reporting with contractors.
