Job summary

Canadian National Inc. seeks a Senior Specialist Environmental Field Operations to lead territory environmental programs from Proctor, MN. You will direct field staff, manage risk, compliance, and incident response, and coordinate environmental maintenance and regulatory outreach across CN yards and facilities.

The role requires 3–5 years in a related field, a science/engineering degree, knowledge of SAP and Enablon, and will involve travel about 30% across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science in Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong ability to lead projects through completion in a field-heavy environment.
• Equivalent experience in emergency response, environmental compliance and project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of a territory and supervise Environmental Coordinators.
• Provide SME-level technical expertise for environmental risk and incident management.
• Oversee environmental maintenance, waste management, and regulatory outreach.
