Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Project Technical Leader to guide technical delivery on complex water and wastewater projects. The role reports to the Project Manager and can be based in Raleigh, Charlotte, or Wilmington, NC, with travel as required.

The selected candidate will lead design efforts, ensure regulatory compliance, mentor junior staff and collaborate with sales on proposals while engaging with current and prospective clients to shape project needs and future opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
10 years of related experience.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on duties and workload.

Responsibilities

Design water and wastewater treatment facilities and pipelines to meet project requirements.
Review designs and reports for compliance with regulations; sign off on designs.
Mentor junior staff and supervise engineers on project work.
Collaborate with sales to respond to RFPs and review proposals for compliance.
Meet with clients to review needs and participate in conferences to raise visibility of services.
