Job summary

Terracon in Florida seeks a senior environmental engineer to provide technical leadership, project management, and oversight of remediation projects across PRP, DSCP, Brownfields, and related programs. You will lead investigations, design, and implementation, review complex deliverables, and mentor junior staff while ensuring compliance with FDEP regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or related degree.
• 8–11 years’ experience.
• Florida Professional Engineer License.
• Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering preferred.
• Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer status (within 2 years of hire).
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level engineering, technical leadership, and project management services for environmental remediation programs.
• Lead and oversee site investigations, remediation design, and implementation activities.
• Prepare and review technical deliverables (SARs, RAPs, LSAs, monitoring reports, risk assessments).
• Supervise remediation system design, construction, operation, optimization, and closure.
• Mentor junior engineers, geologists, and scientists; support business development.
