Job summary

WSP is seeking a Sr. Environmental Engineer in Jacksonville, FL (Baymeadows Road office) to work within the Earth & Environment Team.

You will support environmental due diligence, site assessments, monitoring, and remediation projects, coordinating field activities and preparing technical reports. The role requires a BS in Environmental Engineering, 5–7 years of experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related engineering discipline.
• 5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience in environmental engineering.
• Experience with modified active gas sampling and soil vapor extraction systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
• Project management experience and ability to execute projects within budget and schedule (<$200K).
• Interpersonal and communication skills with engineering and non-engineering audiences.
• Uphold safety policies, Health & Safety Plans, and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental assessment activities and data compilation from various sample matrices.
• Design soil and groundwater remediation plans using multiple technologies.
• Oversee local/remote teams, track budgets, hours, expenses, and subcontractor costs.
• Prepare data visualizations and technical reports with conclusions and recommendations.
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and technical staff professionally.
• Contribute to site assessment work plans and remedial action plans.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
