Job summary

Terracon seeks a Senior Environmental Engineer/Project Manager to lead complex environmental projects from our Chicago area offices. You will oversee site investigations, remediation programs, and regulatory compliance while mentoring junior staff and driving high-quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience and a PE or PG license, with a geology/geosciences background welcomed. Location options include Downtown Chicago or Glendale Heights.

Qualifications

• 8–11 years of progressive environmental engineering experience.
• PE or PG license required.
• Bachelor’s in Environmental/Civil Engineering, Geosciences, or Geology.
• Geology/Geosciences background encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and consulting services for environmental projects.
• Lead environmental site investigations, remediation plans, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare permits, risk assessments, proposals, technical reports, and agency correspondence.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure quality and safety across projects.
• Serve as Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer.
