Job summary

Onterris is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer with NY PE to provide technical leadership in environmental assessment, remediation, and brownfields projects. The role primarily supports our New York team while collaborating with multidisciplinary project groups across the United States.

Responsibilities include investigations, engineering design, remediation planning, and project management. Occasional travel to project sites is required as part of delivering complex environmental solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental, civil, or related engineering.
• Approximately 8+ years of progressively responsible environmental engineering/consulting experience.
• Current and active New York PE license.
• Experience across contaminated-site lifecycle: due diligence to closure.
• Strong technical writing, communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental investigations from planning through closure.
• Direct engineering evaluations, remedial design, and cost estimates.
• Plan Phase I/II ESAs and field programs.
• Evaluate plans related to environmental conditions for redevelopment.
• Manage scopes, budgets, schedules and multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare and review work plans, reports, and final documentation.
• Provide QA/QC and mentorship during implementation.
• Support proposals, client interactions, and project needs.
