The role provides senior technical leadership for remedial design, earthwork, cover systems, drainage, and water management, mentoring staff, and reviewing deliverables to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Civil, Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of directly related engineering experience.
• Extensive experience with mining reclamation, remediation, or environmental construction.
• Senior‑level technical expertise with independent engineering approaches.
• Strong writing, review, and communication skills with stakeholders.
• Proficiency with MS Office and relevant engineering software; use of digital tools.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
• Ability to learn and adopt new technologies to improve delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex engineering analyses, designs, specifications for mining reclamation and environmental construction.
• Review drawings, work plans, and construction activities to ensure quality and compliance.
• Provide senior technical direction and mentoring to engineers and staff.
• Establish technical approaches for unique project conditions involving mine waste, drainage, and water management.
• Communicate with clients, regulators, and project teams to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
• Support business development and proposal efforts.
