HydroGeoLogic, Inc. seeks an Environmental Engineer V to lead complex mining reclamation and environmental construction projects across the United States.

The role provides senior technical direction for remedial design, earthwork, grading, and water management, with mentoring of staff and collaboration with clients and regulators. The position emphasizes engineering leadership, review of deliverables, and the use of digital tools to improve project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of directly related engineering experience.
• Extensive experience with mining reclamation, mine remediation, remedial design, environmental construction, or similar complex projects.
• Demonstrated senior-level technical expertise and ability to independently establish engineering approaches.
• Strong technical writing, review, and communication skills, including experience providing technical direction to project teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and relevant engineering/design software, with the ability to use company-approved digital/AI tools.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and adopt new technologies and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical aspects of CERCLA RI/FS, RD/RA, O&M, and LTM or RCRA phases of environmental restoration and mining reclamation projects.
• Develop engineering studies, plans, designs, and specifications for remediation of contamination.
• Provide PRP oversight.
• Lead complex analyses, designs, and deliverables for mining reclamation and environmental construction.
• Establish technical approaches for complex project conditions involving mine waste, earthwork, drainage, and reclamation features.
• Review drawings, work plans, specifications, and construction activities for quality and compliance.
• Resolve technical issues and provide guidance on corrective actions and design changes.
• Communicate with Program/Project Managers, clients, regulators, and team members.
• Manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Support business development, including proposals.
