Job summary

HiFyve in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to lead air compliance and drive the site’s environmental program. You will own regulatory reporting, permit actions, and cross-functional collaboration with operations and leadership to ensure 100% regulatory compliance.

The role sits on a 7-person HESQ team and requires strong Texas air permitting experience, DOE/ISO considerations, and the ability to influence and train personnel while supporting capital projects and SOP

Qualifications

• 7-8+ years of progressive environmental experience in manufacturing, with strong air compliance in Texas.
• B.S. in Environmental or Chemical Engineering (or related with strong experience).
• Experience with Texas air permitting regulations (TCEQ) and NSR.
• Strong written and verbal communication with agencies and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead air compliance for the site, including emissions calculations and permitting strategy.
• Prepare air permit applications, modifications and renewals (NSR).
• Support other environmental media and maintain regulatory compliance per permits and standards.
• Prepare regulatory reports and notices; lead compliance audits.
• Review permits and drive actions with operations and leadership.
• Coordinate with agencies and ensure alignment with DOT/OSHA requirements.
